The toughest decision you will have to make when purchasing a computer is to either buy a laptop or a desktop version. There are fans of both but which one is best for you really depends on where you are going to put it and for what purpose you will use it.
Think carefully what you will be using your computer of laptop for mostly, and this will help you decide which one to buy.
In my personal opinion, the laptop is one of the greatest inventions of our time. They are light, portable, have everything that a computer does but without the inconvenience of always being stuck at a desk in the same place using it.
The big thing for me about laptops is that everything is built into the device, so you don’t need to find a great expanse of space to fit it into. No need to try and fit in monitors, keyboards etc.
If you have a room in your house put aside to be your computer room, you still don’t need a desktop. Laptops can be used for extensive periods of time too just by the charger being plugged in. Printing is simple too and its actually easier to connect a printer to a laptop than a desktop.
A great function of a laptop is its ability to pick up the internet wirelessly without having to pay anything for the connection. This is a great feature that only laptops have.
A desktop requires you to go to an ISP, internet Service Provider, and pay for your own connection. These vary vastly in price and depending on where you live; you may not have a particularly fast or reliable connection.
Laptops can now be picked up for very reasonable prices, a couple of hundred bucks in some places. Add to this the advantages I’ve already listed and I seriously think that Laptops are the only way to go.
