1. Check fees incurred for using the reverse phone number

If you still insist on using the service despite the fee, make sure you keep track of how much you use it because that will be reflected in your bill. You can give your phone company a call. Or just check the company’s website for a list of extra fees that may be charged. Some landline phones may charge you for using the extra service. Some even charge you a certain amount each time you use it. Just check before you use it.

2. Push in the correct code

The code for a reverse phone number is the asterisk, followed by six, followed by seven. This is not to be confused with the number that blocks phone numbers, which is asterisk, followed by six, followed by nine. When used properly, the code will work. If you enter the wrong code, you may end up doing something completely different from what you intended. Be careful, there are also security codes that will automatically connect you to your local fire department or poison control center. You don’t want to end up calling an emergency location by accident and impeding their time to get to true emergencies.

3. It is not always successful

There are some phone numbers are permanently blocked. These phone numbers will appear Unavailable or Private to all phones all the time. Theses numbers cannot be revealed using the reverse phone number. You won’t be able to reach them using this code. However, the people with those numbers account for the minority of phone holders. Most private numbers can be called backed because they are made private through temporary means, such as a code or phone setting.

4. Don’t get comfortable

Use the code as much as you can without causing damage. You may end up forgetting important phone numbers you may need to recall at a later time. Using the code does save time. But, in some cases it may not be worth it.

It is so simple to perform a reverse phone lookup that anyone can use this service to execute a reverse phone number look up in seconds.
